چکیده

Methods Forty-seven patients had 1.5T steady state free precession, regadenoson stress perfusion CMR and either a ≤ 30% coronary narrowing by CT angiography (CTA) or a ≥70% stenosis by invasive coronary angiography (ICA). CMR perfusion pixel maps were generated by a modelconstrained deconvolution with and without the myocardial segmentation. The two independent observers were blinded to clinical information.

A quantitative pixel-wise measurement of myocardial blood flow by contrast-enhanced first-pass CMR perfusion imaging: microsphere validation in dogs and feasibility study in humans.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate fully quantitative myocardial blood flow (MBF) at a pixel level based on contrast-enhanced first-pass cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging in dogs and in patients. BACKGROUND Microspheres can quantify MBF in subgram regions of interest, but CMR perfusion imaging may be able to quantify MBF and differentiate blood flow at a much higher resol...

Stress perfusion cardiac MRI with regadenoson and gadofoveset trisodium

Background Stress perfusion cardiac MRI (CMR) with a high relaxivity blood-pool contrast agent should allow for improved quantification of myocardial perfusion and myocardium blood volume in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). In the current study, we sought to evaluate the diagnostic performance and image quality of stress perfusion CMR using the intravascular contrast agent gadofoves...

Interobserver reproducibility of fully quantitative pixel-wise analysis of clinical CMR perfusion imaging

Background Quantitative first pass cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) perfusion imaging has shown excellent interobserver agreement at a sector level in healthy volunteers and patients. In this study, we compare the myocardial blood flow (MBF) estimates in sector-wise and pixel-wise analysis. We also study the interobserver variability in pixel-wise MBF estimates from patients with coronary arter...

Feasibility of detecting myocardial ischemia using first-pass contrast MRI and regadenoson

Background Cardiac stress MR perfusion imaging requires an MRI compatible infusion pump for the administration of adenosine or a non-MRI compatible pump housed in the control room or beyond the 10-Gauss line. Regadenoson is a recently FDA-approved A2A receptor agonist that can be given intravenously in a single bolus. It has been shown to provide diagnostic information regarding myocardial isch...

Fully quantitative pixel-wise analysis of cardiovascular magnetic resonance perfusion improves discrimination of dark rim artifact from perfusion defects associated with epicardial coronary stenosis

BACKGROUND Dark rim artifacts in first-pass cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) perfusion images can mimic perfusion defects and affect diagnostic accuracy for coronary artery disease (CAD). We evaluated whether quantitative myocardial blood flow (MBF) can differentiate dark rim artifacts from true perfusion defects in CMR perfusion. METHODS Regadenoson perfusion CMR was performed at 1.5 ...
